Pet Pals: Animal Doctor DS

Genre: simulation

Platform: Wii/DS

That project was a real cherry… Nice license by Legacy Interactive, practically no competition on the market, efficient and skillful team. The project started off as a PC game port, but it ended up as a full-fledged DS production, with a gameplay improved way beyond initial PC version ideas. I produced and designed the game since the pre-production phase, closely co-operating with Craig Brannon at Legacy (the licensor), Beatrice Jeannes at Mindscape (European publisher). The production went so smoothly, that even a surprising decision of Mindscape to add 4 additional languages just one month before the GM date, did not threaten the release date a bit! Nintendo approved the game during the first submission pass. The target of the game, casual family gamers, welcomed the game very warmly.

More Brain Exercise with Dr Kawashima

Genre: logical/puzzle

Platform: iPhone/mobile

Dr Kawashima is an instantly recognisable character and the Dr Kawashima brand has enjoyed world wide success on various platforms. The original mobile game by Namco leveraged on the success of these other products and provided the user with the ability to play Brain Coach where ever they were at a time convenient to them.

I produced the mobile and iPhone versions, linking Polish dev studio with Namco Japan and Namco UK, working closely with Mr. Andrew Azorbo and Mr. Ian Turnbull on the imminent success of the project. Despite very tight deadlines, the projects hit the GM on time.

Ed’s Farm

Genre: logical/platform

The project was undergoing production, when I started working at the Frontline Studios. The team, which originally had worked on the game, was redirected to other projects, and I was given a task to complete the production with a team created by myself. It took me one month to aqcuire new recruits and build a full DS team; I was then privileged to finish Ed and submit the game to Nintendo. I closely co-operated with Steve Tagger from the White Park Bay Software (England) on this one. I like the project in a special way, since I was almost everywhere on the frontline of production – not only I produced the game, but also did some of level-designs, playtests, programming, even wrote press packs and loc kits. My favorite child; doubtless.
